Chapel Hill-Durham Korean School Spring 2012 Adult Class Registration Guide
Semester Dates: February 3 to April 20, 2012
Class times : 6:30 p.m. to 8:30
Location: Murphey Hall, on UNC Chapel Hill Campus
Elementary Korean
This course is designed for people who want to learn basic Korean reading and writing at the beginning level. The course will be well structured with emphasis on vocabulary and grammar.
Korean language & culture through movies & television show
This course is designed for people who are interested in Korean history, society, and culture with a basic understanding of Korean language. During each class, we will watch a contemporary South Korean film or television show (with English subtitles) and discuss it afterwards. The films and television shows selected for the course are widely popular in Korea and the media texts deals with significant events in South Korean society.
Registration Fee: $110 per student ($10 discount for early registration)

봄학기 등록비 (Spring registration fee) :
1. 학비(tuition) -- 한 학생당 $100 (둘째 자녀 이상 $80), 예비 등록시 $10 off
$100 per student ($80 for each subsequent child);
$10 off if registered early
2. 자료비 (supply fee) -- $5
자녀수당 등록비 (fees according to the # of children in the household) :
1 -- $105 ; 예비등록시 $95 if registered early
2 -- $190 ; 예비등록시 $170 if registered early
3 -- $275 ; 예비등록시 $245 if registered early

안녕하세요?
채플힐-더램 한국학교에서 선생님을 모시고자 합니다. .
저희 학교는 네 살 어린이부터 중고생들에게 한글을 비롯한 한국 문화를 소개하고 익히게 하고자 합니다. 우리 말과 글, 문화교육에 관심있는 대학생, 대학원생, 교육에 관심있으신 모든 부모님들, 그리고 할아버지 할머니들께서 선생님으로 지원해주시길 부탁합니다.
특히 이번학기에는 한글교육과 동화 읽기 같은 정규 과정 담임 선생님도 모시고,
특별활동으로
1) 한국 전통음식이야기와 보여주기 (매주 빚고, 장담그기, 김치담기, 두부만들기, 강정만들기, 송편만들기, 만두빚기);
2) 전통운동 및 음악, 미술 (태권도, 태껸, 수벽치기, 단전호흡, 소고, 북치기, 단소, 먹갈기, 붓글씨쓰기, 한지공예, 종이접기);
3) 의복과 의례 이야기 (한복입고 절하기, 전통 혼례, 제사이야기)
에 대하여 소개해주실 선생님도 뫼시고자 합니다. 처음에는 하나 하나씩 해 보고자 하니, 위의 특별활동을 도와주실 수 있는 분께서는 꼭 도와주시면 고맙겠습니다.
